Verified by VISA is a free and easy service that gives you an extra bit of security when making purchases online. The way the system works is you register your Dort Federal VISA or VISA debit card on the Verified by VISA site, create a password for your card, and then, whenever you make a purchase on a website that offers Verified by VISA, you will be asked to enter your password. Here's a list of all of the online merchants that offer Verified by VISA.

Building a Simple Budget
The Internet isn't just about technology. It can also lead you to solutions that involve nothing more complicated than a shoebox. Budgeting 101: How a Simple Budget Helped Me - And Can Help You, Too is a great example. Collect all your receipts and statements and throw them into a shoebox. After 90 days pull the receipts out and categorize them, however you like, to get an idea of where your money is going. Create a budget based on what you discover about your spending. Simple.
